Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi concluded a two-day visit to New Delhi after talks with Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This visit is another step towards the normalization of relations between the two neighbors after a major setback in 2020. Modi is also set to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit at the end of this month in Tianjin, China, and Wang’s visit has been seen as laying the groundwork for Modi’s first trip to China in seven years.
