China Sends National Security Ministers to Phnom Penh for First 2+2 Security Talks

Two of China’s top ministers arrived in Phnom Penh on Wednesday for the first-ever China-Cambodia 2+2 strategic dialogue, a new format that brings together the countries’ foreign and defense ministers for high-level talks on security and diplomacy.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Defense Minister Dong Jun were set to meet Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and Defense Minister Tea Seiha to discuss bilateral ties, defense cooperation, and regional issues, according to Chinese and Cambodian statements.
