Rwanda Attempts to Debunk Fake News Reports That it Deported 18 Chinese Nationals

Rwanda’s foreign ministry is attempting to quell fake news reports now circulating widely online that claim President Paul Kagame deported 18 Chinese nationals for allegedly mistreating local workers.

It’s noteworthy that this online rumor was apparently sparked by a false report published on Monday in the Zambian Observer, a notoriously unreliable news source, in the wake of numerous reports of Chinese discrimination against Zambians in the capital Lusaka.
