China’s Defense Ministry Issues Stark Warning to the Philippines After Latest South China Sea Confrontation

The Chinese government warned the Philippines that if it continues to challenge Beijing’s sovereignty over disputed territories in the South China Sea, Beijing will take “resolute and decisive measures.”

China’s Defense Ministry issued the warning on Sunday, one day after a violent confrontation between a pair of China Coast Guard (CCG) vessels and three Philippines resupply vessels that attempted to bring provisions to Filipino crew stationed on a decrepit WWII battleship sitting atop an atoll near the Second Thomas Shoal.
