China’s Foreign, Defense Ministers to Visit Vietnam

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Defense Minister Dong Jun will travel to Vietnam on Sunday, Beijing said, as they seek to bolster ties and strengthen security cooperation.

Beijing has portrayed itself in the region as a reliable alternative to an erratic U.S. President Donald Trump, who launched sweeping tariffs last year that unsettled global trade.
