Vietnam Poised to be Asia-Pacific Fastest Growing Economy in 2026: World Bank

Vietnam aims for $454 billion in export revenue by 2025, setting an ambitious 12% year-on-year growth target despite growing economic pressures.

Vietnam is poised to become the fastest-growing economy in the Asia-Pacific region in 2026. The World Bank projects a GDP growth rate of 6.3%, followed by the Philippines at 6% and Indonesia at 5.1%.

In its latest ‘Global Economic Prospects’ report, the World Bank forecasts Vietnam’s GDP growth to reach 6.6% in 2025, a 0.1 percentage point increase from its October 2024 projection.
