China’s durian imports hit a record $7 billion in 2024, solidifying its position as the world’s largest durian market. However, competition is heating up as Vietnam and Malaysia challenge Thailand’s dominance.

According to customs data, China imported more than 15 billion kilograms of durian in 2024, an almost 10% increase year-on-year.
