China’s ambassador to Pakistan invited a small group of local journalists to the embassy on Friday for a rare press conference to deliver a blunt message to the government in Islamabad: the security situation in the country has to improve.

Jiang called on the Pakistani security services to arrest those responsible for a string of terrorist attacks that have killed almost a dozen Chinese nationals in separate incidents this year.
