China Releases Climate Plan Focusing Heavily on Global South

China has released a new concept note [PDF] on climate cooperation in the runup to the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (known as COP27) taking place in Egypt in November. 

The document suggests areas of cooperation between China and international partners on climate issues. It also leans into China’s relationships with the Global South as key to its global climate strategy:
