China’s Ambassador to Uganda Spends an Afternoon in the Garden With the President

President Yoweri Museveni welcomed China’s ambassador to Uganda, Zhang Lizhong, for a meeting in the garden at the State House in Entebbe.

The occasion was ostensibly to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries but the president took advantage of the opportunity to solicit China’s engagement on “Poverty Eradication, Agricultural Development, Digital Innovation, Capacity Building; Cultural and People-to-People exchange, Peace, and Security.”
