China’s Outspoken Former Ambassador to South Africa Trashes U.S. Policy in Africa Ahead of Blinken Visit

Even though the United States government seems to have gone out of its way to avoid any mention of China related to Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s upcoming visit to Africa, Chinese media is nonetheless preemptively going on the attack.

The task to discredit U.S. policy in Africa came from a familiar voice: Lin Songtian — China’s irrepressible former ambassador to South Africa who now runs a United Front Work Group organization that aims to extend Chinese influence overseas, often covertly.
