Even China’s Once Stodgy State-Owned Enterprise Executives Are Now on Twitter

Executives from China’s publicity-shy state-owned enterprises are following the lead of Chinese diplomats in Africa by setting up new Twitter accounts. Last week Kong Tao, the general manager of rail operations in Nigeria for the huge construction conglomerate CCECC, posted his first tweet and followed up with a post about him receiving an honorary title from a local chief.

After less than a week on Twitter, Kong already has 1,765 followers (not too bad for a newbie). You can follow him at @armtp007.
