Public Pressure Mounts on African Governments to do Something About Students Trapped in Wuhan

The plight of Kenya’s students trapped in Wuhan, China is now a regular topic of discussion on primetime TV news programs adding new public pressure on the government to act. Similarly, hashtags like #NigeriansTrappedInWuhan are gaining popularity as students in Wuhan post increasingly emotional appeals for help.

Updates on the Plight of African Students in Wuhan

A Nigerian NGO, the Organization for Leadership and Strategy Development, is working with local officials in Wuhan to help provide support to African students currently trapped in Wuhan. The group has launched a new website that aims to register students from all African countries in order to provide them with assistance.
