Israel Denounces China’s Support of Palestinians’ Right to “Armed Struggle”, Calls Beijing’s ICJ Statement “Unfortunate”

The Israeli government issued its first official response to China’s testimony at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) last week that said Palestinians have a legitimate right to “armed struggle” against “Israeli oppression.”

Israeli Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lior Haiat said the remarks by senior Chinese diplomat Ma Xinmin at the ICJ were “unfortunate” and “could be interpreted as support for the murderous terrorist attack committed by Hamas on October 7th.”
