Beijing Calls on Pakistan to Find Those Responsible for Terrorist Attack That Killed 5 Chinese Nationals

Pakistani security officials inspect the wreckage of a vehicle, which was carrying Chinese nationals, that plunged into a deep ravine off the mountainous Karakoram Highway after a suicide attack near Besham city in the Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province on March 26, 2024.

The Chinese government called on Pakistan to launch an investigation and “severely punish” the culprits behind Tuesday’s terrorist attack that killed five Chinese nationals and their local driver in the northern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province.

The six victims were in a convoy on their way from the capital, Islamabad, to Dasu, the site of a large hydroelectric dam being built by a Chinese company, when a suicide bomber set off an explosion that sent their minibus tumbling down a ravine.
