Vietnam and China signed two large railway development deals. The proposed Hanoi–Dong Dang and Haiphong–Ha Long–Mong Cai rail lines will link northern Vietnam’s factories and ports more tightly to southern China, cut logistics costs and transport times, and boost Vietnam–China trade. (DTINEWS)

The first overland road shipments via the new Greater Mekong Subregion road have left China’s Greater Bay Area, opening a new overland route into Southeast Asia. The road more closely links China with Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam, and cuts transit time by more than 30% and logistics costs by about 15%. (YICAI)
