U.S. Warns on Chinese Energy Role During High-Level Venezuela Visit

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright urged expanded American investment in Venezuela’s oil and gas sector during the highest-level U.S. energy-focused visit to the country in nearly three decades, following its invasion in January.

He cautioned Venezuelan leaders against what Washington frames as problematic Chinese business activities.
