Afghanistan Promises Increased Security After Deadly Kabul Attack Kills Chinese National

Afghan leaders on Tuesday promised to increase security for Chinese interests in Kabul after a suicide bombing killed one Chinese national and six Afghans.

Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISIS-K), an Afghan affiliate of the Islamic State militant group, claimed responsibility for the latest suicide bombing. It said it targeted Chinese nationals because of what it described as China’s treatment of Uyghur Muslims.
