Senior law enforcement officials from Ethiopia and China signed an agreement on Friday to work more closely together on training and information sharing. The officials also discussed the creation of a new Ethiopia-China Law Enforcement Cooperation Center in Addis Ababa.

The talks highlight the more active role that China’s powerful Ministry of Public Security is taking in forging closer ties with its counterparts in Africa — both to better protect overseas Chinese nationals and to combat the spread of transnational crime, particularly scam centers abroad. (FANA BROADCASTING CORPORATION)
