Two Southeast Asian prime ministers, Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia and Vietnam’s Phạm Minh Chính, will both be in China this week on separate trips where discussions over territorial claims in the South China Sea will likely be very high on the agenda.

Both leaders have very different itineraries during their time in China. Chính will arrive on Tuesday to attend a trio of regional summits with the leaders of other Mekong River countries. Chính is expected to meet with his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang during his four-day visit.
