Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo (nicknamed ‘Jokowi’) is one of the rare leaders at this year’s Belt and Road Forum who has already met Chinese President Xi Jinping this year. He’ll have a repeat meeting this week, which will likely focus on strengthening economic ties between the countries.

In addition to bilateral talks with Xi, he will also meet with Premier Li Qiang and China’s top legislator, Zhao Leji. Widodo told reporters before he departed that the meetings will focus on investment, trade, and food security.
