Türkiye’s Parliament Rejects Special Committee to Investigate Uyghur Human Rights Ahead of Wang Visit

The Turkish Parliament’s Human Rights Committee blocked a plan to create a new sub-committee to investigate allegations of human rights violations of China’s minority Uyghur population in Xinjiang.

Instead, lawmakers opted to assign the issue to an existing sub-committee focused on racism and Islamophobia.
