Throughout much of 2022, Apple has been diversifying its manufacturing operations in Asia beyond China. India and Vietnam, in particular, appear to be the primary beneficiaries. This year alone, in fact, Apple shipped more than a billion dollars worth of iPhones from its suppliers’ new factories in India. Now, the Cupertino, California-based company is moving to transfer some of its AirPods and Beats headphones production to India as well, according to Nikkei Asia.

It’s a similar story in Vietnam, where Apple contractors are now manufacturing AirPods, Watches, and MacBooks, among other products. JP Morgan forecasts that by 2025, an estimated 65% of all AirPods will be made in Vietnam.
