Chinese Motorcycle Factory Opens in Angola

TWEET TRANSLATION: On March 12th, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Victor Fernandes inaugurated a $15 million Chinese motorcycle factory that will generate 200 jobs. He also commended the resilience of Chinese companies to actively invest in local industries despite the epidemic.

A new Chinese motorcycle factory has kicked off in Angola, one of several new automotive ventures in African countries. The Chinese state-owned heave vehicle company Sinotruk announced a new $20 million assembly line in Tanzania, while China’s First Automotive Works (FAW) has also started producing trucks in Uganda. Chinese automakers have long been active in South Africa as well.
