China’s mission to the African Union hosted an online forum on Wednesday where Ambassador Li Yuxi previewed some of the themes, albeit not in any great detail, that will be raised at the upcoming Forum on China-Africa Cooperation summit that is expected to take place at the end of November in Dakar.
While Liu’s remarks primarily served as a checklist of China’s accomplishments in Africa over the past twenty years since the first FOCAC summit was held in Beijing, he did provide some clues about the upcoming summit’s agenda. “The conference will focus on cooperation areas such as health, industrial capacity, regional connectivity, agricultural, digital sector, environmental, military and security, personnel and skills training,” he said.
