New polling data from the Pew Research Center reveals that public opinion about China in advanced economies in Europe, Asia, and the United States have sunk to historic lows.
“In most countries, around three-quarters or more see the country in a negative light,” according to the Pew findings that surveyed 14 different countries. Those negative perceptions also extend to President Xi Jinping: “a median of 78% say they have not too much or no confidence in him to do the right thing regarding world affairs.”
