Despite a LOT of Challenges, Chinese-Congolese Star Zhong Feifei Persists

Zhong Feifei (仲菲菲) is probably the only Chinese reality show star and online influencer to build a truly international presence. Her followers now number in the millions.

The 24-year-old Chinese-Congolese performer and beauty vlogger has prevailed in China’s brutally competitive online entertainment and reality show market despite constant racist attacks about her hair, skin tone and her racial heritage. Although she’s admitted that the barrage of hostility does get to her at times, she’s nonetheless still a regular presence online and on air. Most recently Zhong finished a respectable 27th overall in the national singing competition TV show Producer Camp.
