He goes by the username Xiang Luo Tian Wai (想落天外) and gives his viewers what seems like an unvarnished view of what daily life in Kenya is like, both for the Kenyans he meets along the way and the many Chinese workers he encounters.

Although all of his videos are produced in Chinese, it’s still well worth watching for the images and the exchanges he has with people throughout his journeys. For example, in one video he goes to a Chinese construction site in rural Kenya and it’s immediately noticeable how relaxed the Chinese workers are when he shows up with his camera. There is no doubt that these workers would have responded differently had a westerner come along with a camera.
