Stanbic Bank Kenya, a subsidiary of Standard Bank — Africa’s largest bank by assets, announced a series of initiatives aimed at fostering closer commercial ties between Kenya and China.

Among the key announcements at the Chinese Economic Forum held in Nairobi earlier this month was the launch of the Africa-China Trade Platform, a digital solution designed to help Kenyan businesses more easily access the Chinese market. The platform offers trade financing services, Mandarin-speaking advisors, logistical support, and the ability to make direct payments in Chinese yuan.
