Chinese battery materials giant Tinci Materials Technology has signed a $282 million agreement with the Moroccan government to build a major lithium battery chemical plant in El Jadida’s Jorf Lasfar Industrial Park, some 200 kilometers southwest of Rabat. The Tinci Morocco battery plant marks a significant step in Morocco’s push to become a key player in the global electric vehicle (EV) supply chain.
