The Biden administration appears to be ramping up its efforts to get the Build Back Better World (B3W) initiative off the ground. In what was the first action related to the program since it was announced over the summer at the G7 summit in England, a high-level delegation led by Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh visited three countries in Latin America as part of a “listening tour” to “better understand the infrastructure needs around the region.”
The group also included representatives from the U.S. Development Finance Corporation, USAID, and representatives from both the Treasury and Commerce Departments. During their stops in Ecuador, Panama, and Colombia, the U.S. delegation reportedly met with political leaders as well as private sector stakeholders as well.
