Wang Yi Lays Out Expansive Chinese Foreign Policy Vision in UN Address

Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the case for a much more expansive, more assertive Chinese foreign policy during an address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on Saturday.

Wang spoke forcefully against Israel’s military initiatives in the Middle East, re-stated Beijing’s offer to mediate a settlement to the war in Ukraine, and denounced U.S. “unilateral, bullying acts.”
