No Major Changes in Ties With China Expected From Vietnam’s Political Transition

The Vietnamese government will hold a state funeral this week for late Communist Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, who passed away on Friday. The country will effectively shut down on Thursday and Friday for two days of national mourning.
