India Sanctions Chinese Steel Imports, Further Straining Already Frayed Ties

Chinese exports of steel to India in the April-July period surged 62% compared to the same time last year and will not likely be severely impacted by this week's tariffs imposed on certain products. AFP

Already strained Sino-Indian ties suffered another setback this week after New Delhi imposed tariffs on some Chinese steel imports as part of an effort to crack down on what it claimed was predatory pricing.
