New Chinese trade data released on Monday reveals that developing countries are now the frontline in the rapidly escalating trade war between Beijing and Washington.

Chinese exports in September surged 8.3%, according to new data released by the General Administration of Customers, the fastest rate in six months and significantly more than the 6% that analysts had forecast for the month.
