China-Iran Call on Growing Mideast Conflict

China supports Iran “in defending its sovereignty, security, and national dignity in accordance with the law,” following the assassination of Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr and Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh within the same week in Iranian territory.

This was Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s message during a call on Sunday with the acting Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani.
