U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent went on Fox News on Monday to issue a second appeal for China to use its perceived leverage with the Iranian government to help end the standoff in the Strait of Hormuz.

Bessent’s call for China to intervene was a bit muddled as he simultaneously accused the Chinese government of facilitating terrorism:
