China and India will restart direct flights between selected cities “by late October,” India’s embassy in China said, calling the move part of New Delhi’s “approach towards gradual normalization of relations between India and China.”

Direct flights between the two countries were suspended during the Covid pandemic in 2020. Flight did not resume as Beijing and New Delhi engaged in prolonged border tensions.
