Beijing Pushes Palm Oil, Rubber Supply Guarantees from Jakarta

China asked Indonesia to guarantee long-term supplies of crude palm oil (CPO), natural rubber, and edible bird’s nest during bilateral farm talks in Jakarta on Tuesday, Indonesia’s vice minister of agriculture, Sudaryono, said.

“Indonesia is open to cooperation in this field,” said Sudaryono. He added, “We want to access the market directly without going through other countries so that it can go straight to China.”
