A viral video that captured a heated exchange last week between one of China’s most acclaimed foreign policy scholars and Israel’s defense attaché in Beijing spiked in viewership over the weekend as ties between the countries further deteriorated.

The dispute between Yan Xuetong, dean of the Institute of International Relations at Tsinghua University, and Elad Shoshan from the Israeli embassy took place last Wednesday at the annual Xiangshan defense forum in Beijing and centered on the Jewish State’s prosecution of the war in Gaza.
