China’s three top markets for automotive exports saw different outcomes in the first half of the year. New data released by the Chinese auto tracker Yiche showed that exports to Mexico surged by 31%, largely due to the popularity of affordable BYD models like the Seagull.

Meanwhile, accelerated shipments by Chinese giants like Geely led to a 59% jump in exports to the United Arab Emirates. However, exports to Russia plunged by the same percentage, due to new car loan and tax regulations. Brazil, number 4 on the list, saw a 7.9% fall to 155,200 units.
