China’s BYD is accelerating past Tesla, claiming the world’s top-selling EV maker title in global deliveries. It is expected to widen the gap further in 2025 and 2026.

The Shenzhen-based automaker reported $107.1 billion in revenue for 2024—a 29% increase from the previous year—outstripping Tesla’s $97.7 billion in sales, according to earnings results published late Monday.
