China dismissed accusations that a PLA Air Force helicopter behaved recklessly when it came within 3 meters of Philippines aircraft over the South China Sea on Tuesday.  The Communist Party-run newspaper Global Times said Manila “once again staged a clumsy political show” when it allowed journalists from the AP and AFP aboard their aircraft. (GLOBAL TIMES)

Chinese oil buyers are stepping up their purchases of Brazilian and West African crude in response to tightened sanctions on Russian and Iranian oil and a price surge of Middle East grades. In February, Chinese oil imports from Brazil jumped 49% and 36% from Angolan suppliers compared to the same time last year. (REUTERS)
