Indonesian and Malaysian Leaders to Discuss Regional Priorities and Challenges Amid China-U.S. Tensions

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is set to meet with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra on the Malaysian island of Langkawi near the Thai border as part of efforts to bolster ASEAN cooperation amid growing geopolitical and economic challenges.

The discussions, which come ahead of Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN chairmanship, will focus on key strategic priorities and challenges for the region.
