Satellite Image Sparks Rumors of New Chinese Settlement Along Indian Border

An image circulating in the Indian media claiming to show a newly-built Chinese settlement close to India's dsiputed border with China.

Indian media outlets are speculating that China built a new settlement about 38 kilometers from the Line of Actual Control (LAC) the country’s border with China. 

The purported settlement is on the northern shore of Pangong Tso Lake, the site of a recently-completed bridge, seen as instrumental to smoothing Chinese military logistics in the region.
