Rhetorical Heat Raises the Stakes in the South China Sea

Foreign Ministers from the U.S.-centric Quad defense alliance criticized what they called “coercive and intimidating maneuvers” in the South China Sea.

This comes after talks between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa, Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong, and Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Tokyo on Monday.
