China Adamantly Refuses to Get Pulled Into Israel-Hamas Conflict

An Al Jazeera reporter at the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s regular press briefing in Beijing did their level best on Tuesday to try and get Spokesperson Mao Ning to budge, even a little, on China’s hands-off approach to the escalating war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The reporter bluntly asked Mao, “Is there any direct way for China to ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and stop the killing of Palestinians?”
