EU’s Global Gateway Moves Forward on DRC-Angola Corridor in Bid to Counter China

The European Union and the United States will launch the early stages of a logistics corridor linking the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia to an export facility in Angola.

This was one of the key announcements on the second day of the Global Gateway Forum in Brussels. The EU is positioning its $326 million infrastructure rollout as a countermeasure to China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
