Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa toured the construction site of the new Robert Mugabe International Airport expansion in Harare on Wednesday. The expansion is being financed and built by China. After the tour, President Mnangagwa took aim at critics, presumably in the U.S. and UK, of his government’s close ties with China.
“The unwavering support from the People’s Republic of China remains a show of confidence in our economic development trajectory,” he said. “We are not worried about those who get angry because China has helped us.”
