China’s state-run Global Times newspaper took aim at an erroneous report published on the Taipei-based news website Taiwan News that 47 Chinese workers who contracted COVID-19 last week in Uganda had previously been vaccinated with a Chinese C19 vaccine.
The Taiwan News report provided no evidence that the 47 workers had, in fact, been vaccinated. Instead, the writer made the supposition that because over a million Chinese people in China had received vaccinations that these workers in Uganda were also vaccinated. Again, there’s no evidence to support that assertion.
